Tsilidis, President of the Association of Travel Agencies in Greece: “If the visa-free travel is provided to the Turkish citizens in the Schengen region, I think that the number of Turkish tourists visiting Greece will reach 8.5 million”
Lisandros Tsilidis said Greece expects more tourists to come in 2017 than in previous years, expecting 1.5 million tourists to come from Turkey this year, and that figure was about 1 million 300 thousand last year.
“Theoretically, if Greece gets Turkish tourists without a visa or if Turkish citizens are allowed to travel without a visa in the Schengen area, the number of Turkish tourists who visit Greece will reach to 8.5 million” said Tsilidis.
